Roam Mobility Liberty Hotspot

Further to my last post on Roam Mobility on the iPad I bought a Libert Hotspot to provide me 4G service on up to 5 wifi devices. I would prefer to have just my iPad and sim card, but I needed 4g service for a demo that I was giving at a meeting, and we could use this within our marketing group when traveling to the US.

The Liberty Hotspot is made by ZTE and is the same one as sold by t mobile at the same price. The Roam packages are more expensive than t mobile but given the convenience of buying in Canada, they are not too prohibitive.

The hotspot worked flawlessly for me. As soon as I was in the US, turned it on, entered the password into my iPhone wifi configuration and I was online. Coverage for 4G was great in Florida and this worked great for my demo using my laptop.

Roam mentioned that the iPad should get 4G coverage by the end of the year, so I am looking forward to that.

Global citizenship is conferred on those who have lived in a variety of countries, and who don’t identify with any one culture. I am such a person. Having lived in Jamaica, Canada and Japan, I have been exposed to First World/Third World, East and West, North and South. This has lead to a rich living experience, open-mindedness and curiosity about the world around me. This variety of living conditions in human landscapes is coupled with equally diverse travels in natural landscapes from the jungles of South East Asia and South America to the Arctic tundra; tropical beaches to the Himalayas, resulting in an incredible journey through life itself.
