Pentax Q review.

I had looked at the Pentax Q when it first camera out as a possible point and shoot camera. I dismissed it as the price was over $700, and the sensor is smaller than my Canon S95 albeit with a higher pixel count.

However, when looking at the new Go Pro Hero 3 I decided to give the Q a second look. The original Q has been heavily discounted, and is also sought after as the new Q10 is a plasticky body. In checking the internet for reviews I came across this one, which really puts a good light on the camera.

I may buy the Q for astrophotography, macro and telephoto work, as well as general usage when i want a light camera to walk around with.

About petergsimmons

Global citizenship is conferred on those who have lived in a variety of countries, and who don’t identify with any one culture. I am such a person. Having lived in Jamaica, Canada and Japan, I have been exposed to First World/Third World, East and West, North and South. This has lead to a rich living experience, open-mindedness and curiosity about the world around me. This variety of living conditions in human landscapes is coupled with equally diverse travels in natural landscapes from the jungles of South East Asia and South America to the Arctic tundra; tropical beaches to the Himalayas, resulting in an incredible journey through life itself.
